This week I’m starting my first fall in 14 years….

No, I haven’t been sleeping through whole seasons. I’ve been living in the dessert. Fall in the UAE consists of a few days below 100F where those of us from the States pretend its fall by lighting pumpkin spice candles and wearing boots, all-the-while sweating just like we did in the summer…. because, well…. it’s still technically summer.

BUT, last week my hubby and I moved to the States. After a 13 month long US immigration process, where we waited and waited and waited to hear anything, suddenly he got his interview, got his green card and we were on a plane in a matter of days. Now, we’re staying with my parents in North Carolina while hubby looks for a job in his field (learning and development in case anyone is interested).

AND, I’m loving the beginning of fall – cool morning, seeing a few leaves start to change, pumpkins everywhere!! I keep walking through the grocery stores and dreaming of all of the recipes that I want to make. But since all my blog stuff is packed up, recipe creation isn’t likely to be happening anytime soon… or at least not recipe sharing.

SO, I thought since I’m excited about cooking all of this fall bounty that you might be too.

AND, since I don’t have a ton of fall experience I reached out to the experts in the field…. well I scoured the recipes on other AIP blogs…. and I have an amazing round-up of fall treats and desserts to help get you into the mood of the season.

Read through the list below and let me know what you plan on making first! I think I’m going for the pumpkin blondies… YUM!!
